Starting A Meditation Practice

The main thing is to “just do it” and start meditating, even 10 minutes per day, and gradually increase to 40 minutes per day.

It can be helpful to meditate the same time each day in the same location in your home.

If you are curious and would like to learn more about mindfulness meditation, then attending our introductory workshop may be a good option for you. Our silent retreats and monthly drop-ins can help you maintain your meditation practice and our 8-week Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) class helps you extend your practice into living each day of your life more mindfully.

  • all-day silent retreat
  • monthly drop-in mindfulness meditation classes
  • programs for children and teens

You can also request us to come and talk to your organization or school about mindfulness meditation.

Our psychologists can also teach you, if you are in therapy at our centre, how to meditate and live mindfully, if you would like to incorporate this instruction into your individual healthcare plan.
