Does your child feel overwhelmed by worries?
Help them build resilience and gain control over anxiety, in this engaging workshop for kids aged 8-12 and their parents.
This interactive workshop helps children learn practical tools to recognize when they are feeling anxious and equips them with effective calming and cognitive coping strategies.
Children will explore four key components:
- Spot Anxiety: Kids learn 4 key ways to identify anxiety in their bodies and thoughts.
- Be a Thought Detective: Using fun CBT techniques, children learn to challenge “what if” thoughts.
- Calm the Chaos: Practical skills including yoga, mindfulness, and breathing.
- Facing Fears: Learn how to implement small “exposure” steps to overcome worries.
Parents attend with their children to learn practical tips to support them and foster independence. Children find it reassuring to know they are not alone and enjoy learning alongside peers.
The workshop will take place from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
