Julie graduated with highest distinction from McMaster University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, Neuroscience, and Behaviour specializing in Mental Health and she is currently attending the Doctoral in Clinical Psychology Program at Medaille College in Buffalo.
Julie brings warmth and compassion to her work with clients. She connects with clients, puts them at ease, and works collaboratively, at the client’s pace to help them feel less anxious, happier and have a greater sense of well-being. She helps adults with anxiety including social anxiety, panic, OCD, and generalized anxiety. She also helps clients with depression. She primarily uses CBT in her work with clients and works under the supervision of Dr. Tal Singer.
Julie also conducts psycho-educational assessments on children and teens at the centre. Julie’s assessments are thorough and her detailed reports integrate her findings and provide detailed recommendations to improve her clients’ overall well-being and academic performance.
Julie speaks Arabic fluently and is very pleased to be able to assist clients who feel more comfortable having therapy in their native Arabic language.
