Mackenzie takes great pride and privilege in engaging with clients and assisting them on their personal journey towards wellness, recovery and personal growth. She strives to create a safe, collaborative and compassionate space, where individuals can share freely, collaboratively identify treatment goals and find empowerment in their growth and progress. Mackenzie helps adults who are having difficulty with stress, anxiety, and depression.
Mackenzie has a special interest in helping clients with chronic pain. When she is not assisting these individuals at our centre, she works at McMaster University Medical Center with the Michael G. DeGroote Pain Clinic, where she assists with the assessment and treatment of individuals experiencing chronic pain.
Her prior work includes providing group programming at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital for individuals in the Adult Inpatient Unit, addressing challenges such as emotion dysregulation, self-esteem, coping, and safety planning.
Mackenzie has her Masters Degree in Clinical and Counselling Psychology from the Adler Graduate Professional School in Toronto and is pursuing her Doctorate degree to become a psychologist. She also has a Masters of Education in Developmental Psychology and Education specializing in Mental Health from the University of Toronto. and she graduated from McMaster University with an Honors Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, Neuroscience and Behaviour. Mackenzie is working under the supervision of Dr. Eran Talitman who provides ongoing support with clients.
