Dr. Eran Talitman
Dr. Talitman is a senior clinical psychologist who has been helping people for over 20 years. He has extensive experience treating couples, adults and teens who are struggling with depression, anxiety, stress, addictions, interpersonal conflict, sexual abuse, and sexual orientation issues. Eran also has specialized training and extensive experience in Emotionally Focused Therapy for couples and individuals and provides supervision for therapists in this leading-edge approach. He blends Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) with emotion-centred approaches with his clients as appropriate. His warm approach helps put both women and men at ease during therapy. Eran’s knowledge and experience in men’s issues is particularly helpful when working with men. In addition, he has given numerous talks and workshops on resilience, stress management, intimacy, conflict resolution, personality disorders, and professional boundaries.
When Eran is not working at our centre in Oakville, he works at the Southdown Institute in Aurora, a residential facility for those who are stressed, and/or depressed, anxious, and burned-out. Prior work includes providing treatment at the Windsor Regional Hospital to individuals with depression, anxiety, acquired brain injury, cancer and HIV and treatment at the Centre for Psychological Services at the University of Ottawa. Eran received his psychology degrees from York University and the University of Ottawa.
