Ashley Henderson, M.Psy.
Ashley brings warmth and compassion to her work with clients. She helps adults, teens and children with anxiety including social anxiety, panic, OCD and generalized anxiety, and also supports those experiencing depression. She primarily uses CBT in her work with clients.
In her work with children, she is engaging and motivating. She connects with clients, puts them at ease, and works collaboratively at the client’s pace to help them feel less anxious, happier and have a greater sense of well-being. She also works with parents teaching them tips to support their children’s well-being. Ashley brings a trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, and culturally sensitive approach to her work to create a safe and respectful space for individuals of all backgrounds and experiences, with a firm belief that clients are the experts in their own lives.
When Ashley is not at the centre, she works at the Halton District School Board. Ashley has worked at the Board and in Halton schools full-time for over 16 years helping children manage social relationships, develop emotional regulation, and understand and manage anxiety and depression. Ashley also has a significant amount of experience working in multidisciplinary teams with educators, and supporting families as they navigate the education and mental health systems.
Ashley is working under the supervision of Dr. Susan Williams who provides ongoing support with clients. She is in the process of applying to the College of Psychologists to be registered as a Psychological Associate in Supervised Practice.
