We can help

Rediscover Calmness, Confidence, and Contentment

in these exceptional and highly stressful times.

Welcome to The Halton Centre

for Cognitive Therapy & Stress Reduction

Please be assured we are fully operational and are providing services in person and via videotherapy or telephone.

The video system we are using is easy to use. Videotherapy is equally effective to in-person therapy.

Our team is dedicated to supporting the public in every way we can through these challenging times.

We recognize mental health is especially important right now and we are prepared to help you.

We are a team of psychologists who help children, teens, and adults feel less stressed, anxious, worried, sad and depressed using Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), mindfulness meditation, Dialectical-Behavioural Therapy (DBT) and many other techniques.

We also help improve self-esteem, reduce sleep problems and insomnia, teach anger management strategies and help rebuild trust and connection in couples and families.  We provide parenting tools including those for behavioural problems and we conduct psycho-educational (psych-ed) assessments for learning difficulties including ADHD.

Our psychologists help people feel better in Oakville, Burlington, Milton, Georgetown, Mississauga, Brampton, Hamilton, and many other areas in the GTA.

We hope you will let us help you.

Psychotherapy Program (free of charge) for Young Adults Aged 19 to 25 Years

THE HALTON CENTRE is offering 6 one-hour weekly individual sessions, free of charge, via videotherapy, or face to face, for young adults aged 19 to 25 who may be struggling due to COVID-19 who do not have access to private insurance for therapy.

These are stressful times for many young adults and we would like to help. We understand that young adults may be especially having difficulty during this time with challenges such as anxiety, stress, depression, interruptions to education, switching to online education, difficulties in finding jobs, job loss, difficult living arrangements, isolation, and social distancing. What was initially a hopeful and exciting time before COVID-19 has now become stressful and uncertain and we are here to help.

To book the first of your 6 free weekly sessions, please contact our centre by sending an e-mail to: info@haltoncentre.ca

Due to the high need for therapeutic services during these stressful times, we can offer this service without delay to 10 participants. However others will be placed on a waitlist for the soonest availability.  Please contact us to secure your spot.
